Vitaros (alprostadil) is a prescription-only, non-invasive, topical cream for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. The cream formulation is applied using an AccuDose applicator into the tip of the penis with onset of erection within 5 to 30 minutes from application. The active ingredient in Vitaros is alprostadil, which helps to improve blood flow to the enis by widening (dilating) the blood vessels. The cream also contains an ingredient called DDAIP, which helps with the absorption of alprostadil so it gets into the right areas to help you get an erection.

Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects include:
- Genital itching
- Aching/burning sensation in the penis
- Rash
- Inflammation of the glans penis
