Premarin is a hormone replacement therapy (HRT) used to treat symptoms of menopause, a stage marked by significant hormonal changes as hormone levels drop and the menstrual cycle ends. It contains active ingredients of conjugated oestrogens, which serve as a substitute for oestrogen, the primary female sex hormone. Premarin tablets help relieve menopause symptoms such as night sweats, hot flushes, and vaginal dryness. HRT treatments like Premarin work by supplementing the hormone levels that have decreased during menopause. The conjugated oestrogens in Premarin not only replace lost oestrogen and alleviate menopause symptoms but also help prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis.
