Ovestin is a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) which contains the female hormone called estriol. Ovestin can be used to treat symptoms of menopause, such as vaginal dryness and itching. It can also be used to help wound healing in woman who have had vaginal surgery.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects include:

  •  Itching around the area at start of treatment
  •  Nausea (feeling sick)
  •  Vaginal bleeding
  •  Discharge or discomfort
  •  Flu like symptoms
  •  Headache
  •  High blood pressure

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed.
