Lamisil AT 1% Cream treats fungal skin infections (athlete’s foot and dhobie itch/jock itch) in adults. The active ingredient is terbinafine hydrochloride, an antifungal that kills the fungi that cause these infections.
This product should be used for just one week, but the skin will continue to heal for up to 4 weeks.
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects include:
- Skin peeling
- Itching
- Skin lesions
- Scabs
- Skin colour changes
- Redness
- Burning pain
- Irritation
If you experience these or any other side effects while using this product seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use Lamisil AT 1% Cream if you:
- Are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients
- Are under 16 years of age
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding, unless advised to by your doctor
Cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
The cream is for external use only. Do not use on the face. Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with running water.
