Hydromol Ointment is a highly occlusive emollient that provides a protective barrier over the skin to seal in moisture and prevent loss of hydration. This ointment can be used as a bath additive or soap substitute as well as a topical emollient, and is particularly useful for very dry skin.
Suitable for use under wet wraps or as an overnight treatment.
Free from fragrances, colouring, additives or preservatives.
Suitable for all ages.
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Some users have reported skin irritation – this may be a result of a minor allergic reaction to some of the ingredients.
If you experience any side effects while using this product seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
Please read the label before use.
Do not smoke or go near naked names – risk of severe burns. Fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings etc) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily and is a serious fire hazard. Washing clothing and bedding may reduce product build-up but not totally remove it.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you use Hydromol Ointment if your skin is badly cracked, infected or bleeding.
Do not use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients in Hydromol Ointment. Some ingredients may cause skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis). If your condition worsens or you experience any undesirable effects, stop using Hydromol Ointment and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
If you are using medicines which are also to be applied to the skin you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Hydromol Ointment as it might not be suitable to apply other topical preparations at the same time.
Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.
