Finacea is for the relief of mild to moderate papulopustular acne of the face and the treatment of papulopustular rosacea. It contains the active substance azelaic acid which has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, and is thought to help treat the symptoms of rosacea.
Papulopustular acne and rosacea are associated with inflamed papules and pustules.

Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects include:

  • Burning
  • Itching
  • Pain
  • Dry skin at the application site
  • Allergic reaction after applying this gel
