Female hormones are crucial in supporting many different bodily functions such as reproduction, fertility, metabolism and overall health. Hormone imbalance can affect your mood, weight, fertility and energy levels, therefore it is important to monitor and manage hormonal health throughout different stages in life.

Symptoms of hormonal imbalance can vary for each individual but may include:

  • Weight Gain
  • A change to your menstrual cycle
  • Hair loss
  • Acne
  • Low energy levels
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Muscle Weakness

Our blood sample collection kit can help you understand your hormonal health conveniently from the comfort of your home. Simply follow the instructions to take the test. Activate your kit before using the prepaid label to return your test to our lab. Once your kit arrives at the lab results will be ready within 2-3 days and can be accessed through your account. If your results show an imbalance, we advise you seek advice from our GP or pharmacist.

What we test:

  • Oestradiol
  • Progesterone
  • Follicle-Stimulating Hormone
  • Luteinising Hormone
  • Prolactin
  • Testosterone
  • Sex Hormone Binding Globulin
  • Free Androgen Index

This blood test should be taken two to five days after you start your period, ideally day three. For a general check or post-menopausal it can be taken on any day. Please note that the contraceptive pill may impact results. It is recommended once you stop the pill, wait for your cycle to return to normal before taking the test. If you are not planning to become pregnant ensure you use alternative contraception. HRT can affect your results so it is recommended to avoid taking your blood sample from the finger used to apply hormone gels/patches/pessaries in the past 28 days and use gloves when applying.

Please note this test can only be used by those over the age of 18. Please read the instruction leaflet carefully before use. Click here for a video guide on how to use out test kits.

Hypertension

Dear Doctor, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to discuss my ongoing issue with acid reflux. Over the past few weeks, I have been experiencing frequent episodes of heartburn, regurgitation, and a burning sensation in my chest. It has been quite uncomfortable and has affected my daily life. I have tried over-the-counter antacids, but they only provide temporary relief. The symptoms seem to worsen after meals, especially when I consume spicy or greasy foods. I have also noticed that lying down or bending over exacerbates the symptoms. I would greatly appreciate your guidance and advice on how to manage and alleviate these symptoms effectively. If necessary, I am open to scheduling an appointment for further evaluation and possible treatment options. Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
