The active ingredient in Condyline is an anti-mitotic drug called podophyllotoxin. Anti-mitotics work by preventing the wart cells from growing and destroying the wart cells over time. For most people, it can take between 6 months to 2 years for the warts to clear up completely.
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Possible side effects include:
- Wearing away the top layers of skin
- Application site irritation including redness, itching, burning sensation
- Allergic reaction
- Pain/swelling/bleeding
- Skin ulcer
- Scab
- Skin discoloration
- Dry skin
- Blister
These effects can occur on the area of skin where you use the cream.
If you experience these or any other side effects while using this product seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed.
