Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The most common side effect is a mild laxative effect.
In some cases, there may be an allergic reaction to either paracetamol or another ingredient. Signs of an allergic reaction include swelling of the face, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing, unexplained wheezing, shortness of breath, rash or hives.
If your child experiences these or any other side effects while taking this medicine seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

Follow the dosage instructions carefully as children of different ages need different amounts.
Do not give this medicine to your child if:
- They have ever had a bad reaction to any of the ingredients
- They are taking anything else with paracetamol in it
- They are between 2-3 months old and are taking this medicine for pain and fever and: weighs less than 4 kg born before 37 weeks
If you are not sure of the cause of your child’s illness or it is accompanied by a rash, breathing difficulties, diarrhoea or excessive tiredness or lethargy, speak to your doctor urgently.
