Blephaclean sterile wipes are impregnated with a gentle lotion designed for daily eyelid cleansing, especially:

  • for use on sensitive skin and the delicate eye area
  • when you need to gently cleanse dust, pollen and discharge from your eyelids (due to an allergy or infection)
  • to soothe and cleanse when you have inflammation or infection of the eyelids, such as blepharitis, Meibomian gland dysfunction, style, chalazion or dry eye
  • before and after eye surgery, based on the advice from your surgeon

 

These preservative free wipes are suitable for adults and children over 3 months.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Side effects are normally indicative of an allergic reaction and may include symptoms such as swelling around the eyes, blistering of the skin, burning or itching of the eyes.

If you experience these or any other side effects while taking this medicine discontinue use and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

Please read the patient information leaflet before using this medicine.

 

Check the packaging is intact before first use; use only if the sachet is unopened.

Do not use any wipe more than once. It will not work as well as a fresh one, and increases the risk of infection.

If your symptoms do not improve, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

Store out of sight and reach of children.

Always throw the wipe away immediately after use. Always dispose of safely – do not flush down the toilet.
