Anadin Extra Caplets are for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain including headache, migraine, neuralgia, toothache, sore throat and period pains.
This medicine also provides relief from discomfort caused by problems such as joint pain, sciatica, muscular aches and pains and symptoms of cold and influenza.

For when you need a strong pain reliever that gets to work fast, triple-action Anadin Extra Caplets contain a powerful combination of pain-relieving ingredients:

  • Aspirin to target the source of pain
  • Paracetamol to help block the pain signals from reaching the brain
  • Caffeine to accelerate pain relief

Like other medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, though not everyone will get them.

Side effects may include:

  • bruising or bleeding easily
  • tremors and palpitations
  • indigestion, sickness or heartburn
  • runny nose, nose bleeds
  • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • changes in skin colour
  • skin rash

 

If you have any unwanted side effects you should seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

 

Children under the age of 16 years old should not use products containing aspirin as a link has been made between aspirin use in under 16s and a condition called Reye’s syndrome. This is a rare disease that affects the liver and brain and can be very serious.

You should not use Anadin Extra Tablets if:

  • You have ever had stomach bleeding or a stomach ulcer
  • You are breastfeeding or in the last trimester of pregnancy
  • You suffer from haemophilia
  • You are allergic to aspirin, paracetamol, caffeine, or any of the other ingredients in this product
